ISA Member Protection Policy has been updated

ISA Technical Regulations Communications 43 to 48 now available on ISA Technical page. These communications refer to changes which are effective from 15 October 2012. Divisions affected are Pre-Primary Singles, Primary Singles, Intermediate Singles, Novice Singles, Primary Pairs, Novice Pairs and all Adult events. Technical Pattern Skills tests: 2012 ISA Technical Regulations Communication 35 released. The grandfather clause for the automatic recognition of previous level singles tests undertaken has been extended to the 1^st July 2012.

National & Aussie Skate Registrations: All PARTICIPANTS in the sport, which includes all skaters, judges, coaches, technical officials and volunteers, are required to have National Registration, which includes the payment of the National Registration Fee (currently $25 per annum). The Fee is payable each year commencing January 1st.

Clean Skaters Information: The ISU and its Medical Commission are pleased to announce the start of the ISU Anti-Doping Education and Certification Program named "CLEAN SKATER" - an online interactive education program based on the education requirements of the World Anti-Doping Code. It will give skaters and their support personnel knowledge about key topics on Anti-Doping and give further motivation to pursue clean sport.

Technical Pattern Skills Tests update: The Technical Pattern Skills Patterns and Information Pages have now been updated and available on the ISA Website as of 13^th April 2012. Revisions include any necessary steps corrected along with typos and an updated Grandfather Clause.

Interstate Competitions: Information regarding Dragon City Trophy & Sun Loong Artistic Challenge, Tasmanian State Championships, Penrith Ice Palace Trophy and Hollins Trophy has been added.

ISU World Team Trophy: ISU is pleased to announce that the ISU World Team Trophy will be available as a free live stream via the ISU Skating Channel. The live video stream will be promoted through the ISU website and facebook page. Pictures of the event will also be available on the facebook page. Details available on the International Competitions page

Australian Figure Skating Championships: Please note that Extra Practice Ice is not yet able to be booked for Singles, Pairs, Ice Dance or Synchronized Skating Teams. Information and Forms will be available in due course, and will be distributed to all States when available. Please do not telephone or call Iceworld Boondall or Iceworld Acacia Ridge directly to organize Extra Practice Ice bookings.

The SAISA Annual General Meeting was held last night. Congratulations to Nicola Reese (Vice-President), Chelsea Skene (Secretary), Moira Henningsen and Elizabeth Henningsen (Board Members). Thank you to all who attended the meeting. The full list of Board Officers and Members is available here.

International Adult Figure Skating Competitions: Information has been received that the annual Adult competition, The Mountain Cup in Villard De Lans, France may have been cancelled for this year. This information is for the benefit of Australian skaters travelling to Europe and factoring this into their travel plans. The White Nights competition in St Petersburg, Russia will be held shortly after Oberstdorf, which you may be interested in attending.

An additional test session has been arranged. Test sessions are now scheduled for Saturday 3^rd March and Saturday 24^th March 2012 at 7:15am at Ice ArenA. Close of entries is 17^th February 2012 for both sessions. A reminder to skaters and coaches that skaters intending to test at these sessions must be financial members of SAISA and incomplete applications will not be considered.
