Membership Year
The SAISA membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December each year.  Membership fees are due and payable on 1 January.

Membership and ISA Registration
Included in the SAISA membership fee is the National Registration Fee (currently $25 per annum, payable each year commencing January 1st) and this covers the cost of the National Insurance Sceme. 

All participants in the sport are required to be registered members. Skaters must have renewed/taken out membership before being eligible for ISA Tests, SAISA/ISA endorsed competitions, seminars, camps, workshops or meetings of members.

Volunteers who provide infrequent and minor service to the sport are not required to register, but the following categories of volunteers are required to be registered members of a State Association: judges, technical officials, IJS video operators, data operators, IJS accountants, board members of State and Club committees, ISA Board Members and Operational Directors and their committees.
